Checking Windows Installation

If going through the these steps here doesn't resolve your issue, it is recommended you check the integrity of your Windows installation.  Please see the steps below.  Note that "Commands" are to be entered into the Windows Command prompt.  You can open the command prompt by hitting the Windows key, typing CMD, then hitting enter.

  1. Verify that your Windows installation is OK:
    System File Checker
    Command:
    sfc /scannow

    Verify Windows files:
    Commands:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  2. Perform a clean windows boot

  3. Move your games files to a different drive.  After the move, please verify games files.
